I've been working on a variety of tasks (both comic and non-comic related), but I had a free moment and happened upon a very informative link:
Things like this give me hope. Right now, the gaming community has GamerGate, fighting for the right to proper ethics in video game development and reviews, but there has also been a severe decline in the quality of comics (or the availability and awareness of quality comics) for some time, possibly even pre-dating my existence (that's nearly three decades!).
Right now this hits close to home because while I'm happy on the indie comics scene, one of my partners in crime - a writer for a story I will be illustrating - is particularly interested in breaking into the business. I'm passing this along because it's important for aspiring comics writers/artists to know what they're up against, and what they can do about it.
Now back to my tasks. Till next time...
